Over 60 years of continuous work involving construction of numerous new facilities and renovations to respond to emerging technology and services. Project include the Main Patient tower, Outpatient Center, Education Center/School of Nursing and Campus Beautification.
20+ Years of shaping the physical identity of the Main Campus. Projects include the Parkview Patient Tower, Outpatient Imaging Center of Excellence and architectural design to support the expansion of numerous service lines.
Starting with our first project in 1949, we have enjoyed a successful relationship with the Thomas Health System that has included the architectural design and construction administration of both eh Clinical and Medical Pavilions as well as one of the first automated labs in the area.
Zachwieja Workman Architects performed a master planning services to include both the expansion and renovation of existing hospital facilities in 2006. This Masterplan identified the first project to be a multi-phased construction of a new I.C.U. (completed April 2009), a new 18 bed Emergency Department, a new Hospital Lab, Outpatient Services, new Lobby and Main Entrance and expansion of the Obstetrics Unit.
Zachwieja Workman Architects was the Architect of Record for the Critical Access replacement hospital constructed adjacent to the existing hospital site. Highlights include a 25-bed Nursing Unit, Emergency Department, Imaging Department including an MRI and CT scanner, Endoscopy/Operating Department, Physical and Cardiac Therapy, on-site Pharmacy and Lab.
The Project was totally funded through the USDA and is the largest award in the history of the State of West Virginia.

Zachwieja Workman Architects has successfully designed numerous pharmacies of varying sizes for multiple clients across our region. These replacement/renovation projects have been in response to USP 797 and the new USP 800 regulations.
Recently we have designed a new pharmacy for a total replacement Critical Access Hospital, a new pharmacy for an 435-bed facility, a new pharmacy for an Oncology Center and are currently working on USP 800 upgrades for both inpatient and outpatient pharmacies.
